FEMA makes federal funds available through the Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) program to state, local, Tribal, and territorial governments to reduce or eliminate the risk of repetitive flood damage to buildings insured under the National Flood Insurance Program. Recipients are chosen based on the applicant’s ranking of the project and the eligibility and cost-effectiveness of the project. The Freese and Nichols team can navigate this with you.
