In preparation for hurricane season, this course provides an overview for dam owners on responding to an emergency involving your dam.


Content:

The roles and responsibilities for dam owners, emergency management personnel, and dam safety regulators will be addressed. We will cover the types of activities to help prepare the dam owner and staff in advance. The course will include guidance on the most deficiencies that develop at a dam during adverse weather and actions that can be taken to address them.


Objectives:

  • Identifying and addressing developing emergency conditions at a dam
  • Roles and Responsibilities of persons and agencies involved in the response
  • Review actions to prepare for an impending severe weather condition



Students will be invoiced via email for applicable course fees.
